Welcome to Wildfire Ranch
Horse & Equine Therapy in Spring Mills, PA
Wildfire Ranch featured on Global Television!
Wildfire Ranch Spiritual Retreat, LLC, is a peaceful paradise located in the heart of Spring Mills, Pennsylvania (just 25 minutes East of the Pennsylvania State University and State College, PA). Breathtaking views surround the setting creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The retreat center itself is fondly referred to as "The Ponderosa," a 6,000 sq. ft. log-sided lodge with guestrooms available to rent. Guests from Florida to California and Argentina to Germany have spent week-long retreats to receive healing from depression. Others visit just to enjoy the horse dude ranch experience with their loved ones. Each day is filled with riding lessons, equine therapy sessions, pony cart rides, 'All About Horses' clinics and unforgettable mountain horseback trail ride adventures. Between horse activities guests are invited to join our staff in authentic ranch life chores, including mucking out horse stalls, leather-oiling saddles and feeding the herd of 14 'angel-animals.' In between horse activities our guests spend endless hours on our 1200 sq. ft. wrap-around deck, sleeping, reading and meditating while soaking up the breathtaking views of mountains, valleys and horses. Nights are often spent under the stars around an Amish-crafted campfire pit.
Wildfire Ranch of Spring Mills, Pa. is also a sanctuary where God becomes personal to each guest. Americans are crying out for solutions to the epidemic of depression that has touched every home. Emotionally-traumatized families are often unable to afford the $150/hour psychiatric treatments and unwilling to wait the 3-6 months at the low-income counseling centers. The heartbreaking effects are seen in broken families, drug addiction and suicide. Our purpose at Wildfire Ranch Spiritual Retreat is to promote healing for emotionally-hurting men, women and children through one-on-one encounters with 13 magnificent horses. Wildfire Ranch Spiritual Retreat is owned and operated by Cynthia Amnell, Penn State University alumnae and State College, Pennsylvania native.
Disclosure: Wildfire Ranch Staff members are not licensed counselors, psychologists or psychiatrists nor do we make any such claims. As such there is no counseling conducted during our equine therapy sessions. Clients are given games to play with the horses which empower clients in their weak areas and promote healing from inner traumas as a result. Wildfire Ranch staff members interpret horse behavior during these sessions as the horses 'mirror' what they are sensing in the clients.
We Also Offer: Affordable Horse boarding, Horse-riding lessons, Horse-back Weddings, Kids Horse Camps (year-round), Horse-training for problem horses, and fishing adventures. Visit our sister ranch in Friendship, NY, "Wildfire Ranch of Western New York".
